All classroom and lab computers on both campuses have security software installed.  You need to be aware of two effects of this software:

Classroom Podiums:

1. Any software that you install will be deleted after shutting down or restarting the computer.
2. All changes to program settings will disappear after shutting down the computer.
3. All files must be saved to the My Documents folder or removable media before shutting down.
• Files saved to other locations will be deleted and unretrievable when you restart the computer.

Computer Lab Podiums and Student Computers:

1. Any software that you install will be deleted after shutting down or restarting the computer.

3. Files that you save to the computer will be deleted and unretrievable after shutting down or restarting the computer.
• Save files to removable media to retain your documents.
• Use floppy or zip disk, CD, or flash drive (thumb drive).

Advantages for Instructors and Students Include:

1. Most computer problems can be fixed by restarting the computer.
• Try this first when you have a computer problem.
2. Eliminates classroom disruptions such as pop-up ads.
3. Improves computer reliability and quality of classroom experience.
