Classroom Podiums

Faculty should save their files to removeable media or to a faculty folder on the network. Files saved on a podium will be lost.

New Computer Security Requirements

The Gramm-Leach-Bliley information security act (GLB), credit card security requirements and other government regulations are forcing us to increase the security on our network and all the computers attached to it. The added security will keep users safer when transmitting sensitive information over the network (e.g. passwords to access web resources).

Using the Network to Access Instructional Materials in Classrooms

We recommend that you save instructional materials that need to be accessed in the classroom to the Faculty Data folder on SC-LABS (from your office computer). This material can then be accessed from the instructor’s station in classrooms, as well as all computers (including student computers) in computer labs.
